The castle of the enigmas is a family theme park which proposes to discover the splendid castle of Usson and its park (10h) through a scripted adventure on the theme of the Pirates. The game trail lasts about 3 hours and is designed for the whole family to have fun together.

Through 27 stages, players progress in the heart of a Pirate story and have to face different challenges. Skill, logic, and above all good humor are the essential assets to succeed in finding the fabulous treasure of the pirate Jack Rackham!
The course allows you to discover all the diversity of the park, but also the most beautiful rooms of the Renaissance castle. In particular, it takes players through the boxwood maze, the small farm with the castle's animals, the castle's underground passages, the net course in the trees (new in 2018), the forest of hundred-year-old oaks, but also in the magnificent exotic greenhouse where players validate their answers on touch screen terminals.

History
William Augereau, owner of Les Egretaux, bought in 1879 the remains of the castle of Usson, located in the commune of Echebrune, a wine-producing commune in the canton of Pons, 7.5 km east of Pons.
The castle before 1880.
Threatened to fall into ruins, he had the elements of the castle dismantled and transported on wagons, the transfer of which began in 1889. He completed the reconstruction during the year 1890, on a rural site, near the valley of the Seugne (right bank), southeast of Pons.
The castle before 1880.
While having retained much of its original Renaissance style, the castle was rebuilt according to the whims of its purchaser, who added elements from other buildings, including a fireplace from the Château de Pons and Regency woodwork from the Château de Rosny-sur-Seine.
On May 14, 1925, the castle was registered as a historical monument.
