Created in 1995 on the Nonnes beach in Meschers, Tina's café is installed in Saint-Fort-sur-Gironde since March 2020.

Tina's café, the mythical café of Meschers on the Nonnes beach, has moved to a small village, in Saint-Fort-sur-Gironde. A new challenge for this place, which is conducive to artists' and writers' residencies, exhibitions, music or theater workshops, and writing workshops. It is also a café in the center of the village, open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

You can find books in French or English and clothes as vintage as the decor, eat burritos or homemade potatoes, drink mojitos and above all meet Tina Provenzano, the blues singer who owns the place, and her husband Alex, a passionate doctor of literature and photographer.

In this unique place, where you have to take your time to discover everything, Tina has chosen to embark on a new adventure, or rather to continue her own, as an American singer-songwriter and blues woman from Chicago. She came to Europe at the age of 20, pursuing a career in Paris where she worked with artists such as Sylvie Vartan or Screamin Jay Hawkins and made many scenes and records. She also participated in television and film works.

An urgent call to sing

The containment from the moment they moved in was a real challenge for Tina and Alex. Alex runs the bar on the days it's open and Tina runs the tex mex when she's not making music. Singing is what she loves to do. "I feel an urgent call to sing, people need comfort and hope. It's what I know how to do, I think it would be a crime not to answer that call," says the blues woman. She was in Paris in June to record a new album, "Crossroads of life", with her compositions and jazz standards. The album is due out at the end of the summer.
